That's right, they are back, and this tour is gonna be a monster.  Two master selectors and super producers with so many amazing projects between them will be playing a giant tribute to Afrika Bambataa, the master of records on six turntables, with amazing visuals by Ben Stokes.  We are giving away a pair of tickets to the Toronto date at The Guvernment on September 1st, all you have to do is tell us about a fond memory associated with ANY of the amazing pieces of music from DJ Shadow or Cut Chemist.  This could include anything from Endtroducing, Jurassic 5, Quannum, UNKLE....anything at all!

Let us know on Facebook, Twitter, Instagramemail us or comment below!  We will pick a winner randomly on August 30th and you'll be on your way to see two of the finest turntable musicians as they pay homage to one of the godfathers of hip hop!

Fond memory eh? Gotta say looking for new music while travelling in Thailand in 2002 and discovering DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist Product Placement CD. It became the soundtrack of my trip across the country as it was only a few CD's that I had on hand on my travels. Never have seen them live and you would make an old man very happy if you sent tix my way.

My fondest memory is of hearing Stem/Long Stem for the first time back in 1998, in my dark bedroom with the lava lamp my mother bought me for my birthday and getting chills. It was then that I knew I had found my favourite album :)

The day I found a copy of "Brainfreeze" on vinyl at the record store, that was a magical day. The opening of both sides (as well as the entire mix) always brings such a smile to my face, I had always loved listening to that promo and would have been something else to see you two in action back in the day when you were doing that tour. I've never had a chance to see either of you, but both your music has had such an inspiration on me. I hope to get the chance to win these tickets, I'd even bring down my copy and you guys could sample from it, we all know theres some juicy, nostalgic, samples.

My fondest moment? The very first time I heard Organ Donor was in high school. A bunch of guys were using the track to break dance and I literally stopped whatever I was doing to stop and listen to the whole song. It was amazing. After learning what the song was called and who produced it I went on a crazy binge listening to every track I could from Dj Shadow. Even to this day Organ donor is my favourite track.

I would love to see both of these guys again in concert. I haven't had the chance to see them together, just on separate occasions. I have been a fan of both for many years now, and would love the opportunity to see them on the same stage, it would be beyond mind blowing. When I was in high school I saw Endtroducing and knew nothing about Shadow at the time, but took a chance and bought the album simply on the cover art itself. When I got home, and began listening, I had no idea what I was in for. The album became the soundtrack of my life for the next year.
