K-Rec presents Radiohead x Ciara "Body Party" Remix

Yeah yeah, we know, mashups are played out.  This right here is anything but.  Vancouver's own K Rec has melded two seemingly different creations and made something new, something beautiful.  After dozens of Body Party remixes, we may have finally found our favorite.

Preview: Nadus at Fortune Sound Club 11/7

This show is a match made in heaven.  On the one hand you have Nadus, the artist from Newark, New Jersey who has helped define the city's club music sound.  On the other, you have Vancouver's Fortune Sound Club.  They host Happy Ending Fridays, an event that provides a stage for the most innovative dance music the world has to offer.  It's simply a perfect match and leaves us wondering how anyone could want to miss this.

Nadus recently released his 'Broke City' EP, with songs like 'Nxwxrk' and the absolutely unforgettable 'Sharpe James'.  The record shows a maturity and depth of talent that make the young artist seem like a veteran.  The EP is available on Pelican Fly, and tickets for the Vancouver stop on this tour are available here!

Nardwuar vs. Flosstradamus

The world famous Nardwuar takes on Chicago bass heads Flosstradmus, and of course, it's both educational and hilarious.  Make sure you check this one out!

Spotlight: Bas & Earth Gang on tour with Ab-Soul

Ab-Soul is out this fall on the 'These Days' tour.  Following his huge album he's traveling through North America putting on an incredible show, and bringing some impressive talent with him.  It's quite obvious to any who have heard 'These Days' that Ab-Soul is on a roll these days, but what he's doing with this tour is quite unexpected.  He's got a well selected lineup for these dates that show the audience a broad cross section of some of the most brilliant hip hop out these days.

Bas is hot off the release of the 'Last Winter' project.  It's an in-depth release, and it's out on Dreamville/Interscope and the final track features Dreamville founder J. Cole.  Also on the lineup is EarthGang, whose highly underrated 'Shallow Graves For Toys' provides perfect material for a live show.  These are two projects we'll be listening to a lot prior to the October 11th Toronto show at the Phoenix, and the October 15th Vancouver show at Fortune Sound Club.  Get tickets here!
