New Music from Mounties! "Flags of Convenience"

The almighty Canadian super group The Mounties is back with more glorious sonic rock and roll that means something. Hawksley Workman, Steve Bays (of Hot Hot Heat) and Ryan Dahle (of Limblifter and Age of Electric) gave us that feeling that only magnificent art can with this one. "Flags of Convenience" is not a radio hit, but it's so damn good it'll likely make it there anyways. This tune is a bit more experimental than some of their last stuff, but we love it so, so much.  We just keep missing The Mounties when they come to Toronto for some reason.  NXNE, Riot Fest, we just can never seem to make it work.  Tonight however, The Mounties are back to headline Lee's Palace with Vancouver band Gay Nineties for what is sure to be one of the top Toronto events this weekend.

Get Freaky with Diplo, Steve Aoki, Deorro, and Steve Bays

This lineup is almost too good to be true.  Everything about this tune tells you it's something special, you can tell before you listen.  Two of the biggest names in dance music; Diplo and Steve Aoki are on this one, joined by Deorro who's got some serious tunes of his own.  The vocals on 'Freak' are the icing on the cake, Steve Bays of the band Hot Hot Heat takes this track from being a huge beat into being something unpredictable and a little bit insane.  Get yours on iTunes or subscribe to Mad Decent on Drip.FM to get each and every release when they come out...
