We had the chance to catch up with Sage English following the video release:

Fingers on Blast: Sage English, can you tell us a bit about who you are?

Sage English: No doubt, I'm Sage English from upstate NY.

F.O.B.: Who's The Kid Blaze?

S.E.: Ah, RIP to him. The Kid Blaze is my former alias I used up until this past January.

F.O.B.: Tell us a bit about the 'Death of Kid Blaze' mixtape and where it was recorded?

S.E.: That's my last mixtape I recorded under the name 'The Kid Blaze.' I knew I was gonna switch my name up, so I figured I'd do one more mixtape and title it something that would let everyone know The Kid Blaze is dead. I recorded it in EXT Productions studio.

F.O.B.: There's a wide variety of types of music included on the tape.  From Afrojack to Erykah Badu to Outkast.  What do you listen to when you aren't creating?

S.E.: Haaa, I'm glad you noticed the variety. As a musician (not rapper) I try to listen to E V E R Y T H I N G. The last thing I want to do is be placed inside a box and be stuck making one type of music. I listen to everything from Jay-Z, A$AP, Wiz, Kanye, 2 Chainz & Rick Ross, to The XX, Toro Y Moi, Deadmau5, & Daft Punk.

F.O.B.: What's your first memory of being really inspired musically? Where you feel like you really want to make something..

S.E.: Seeing the 'Backstage' documentary with Jay-Z and all them. Just watching them go state to state and perform for sold out arenas was inspiring.

F.O.B.: What's next for Sage English?

S.E.: Working on new videos, my next project 'Universecity' and getting as much recognition for me and my team, L!VEKREW
