Preview: Nite Jewel in Toronto this weekend!

Nite Jewel is touring throughout North America in support of the new album 'Liquid Cool'.  Those of us in Toronto are lucky enough to get not one, but two appearances.  Friday July 8th she performs at The Garrison, and on Saturday afternoon it's a DJ set at the Drake Hotel.  If you're not overjoyed at the chance to attend one or both of these events, then you need to get into this new music.  'Boo Hoo' is the new video, and it's a perfect introduction to the sound of 'Liquid Cool'.

Get your tickets for the Friday show at the Garrison here, and the Saturday show at the Drake Hotel is FREE, and it starts at 2 pm.

For some time Maria Jose Govea (The Supermaniak) has been one of the foremost concert photographers.  She continues to surpise and inspire with her incredible work and contagious positivity.  She's recently started a Skillshare course to help photographers work in tough conditions, and if that's not enough, her work is being featured in a new show.  FSTVL SZN is brought to you by Nuvango, and it brings the work of the Supermaniak to life in a big way.  The photos will be on display from July 13th to September 3rd but the opening party will be too good to miss.

David Matisse of Keys and Krates will be curating and performing the music for the evening.  It's a perfect fit, to have such a unique company and two brilliant artists together for an unforgettable night.  Tickets are available here, and they're free!  See you July 13th!

One glance at that lineup and you know that HYTE is throwing a party that New York City will never forget.  For starters Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann will be performing together for the first time in New York.  Dubfire just headlined the bollywood stage at Bestival Toronto, putting on an incredible show.  Chris Liebing and Loco Dice have a heavyweight tune together in 'Keep It Low', and Pan-Pot have been on our must see list since we first heard the magical, mysterious track 'Pina'.  The artists on the HYTE NYC lineup each add to the excitement for the event in different ways.  Add that to the fact it's hosted at a secret location in Brooklyn, and this seems way too good to be true...

HYTE NYC takes place Saturday July 2nd and Sunday July 3rd, and tickets are available here.  Check out a selection of new and classic mixes from some of the artists performing at HYTE NYC below!

Preview: The Endless Summer Tour ft. G-Eazy & Logic

This summer there's only one choice for the ultimate rap tour, and that's the Endless Summer tour.  G-Eazy and Logic top the bill, and for good reason.  They have two of the best albums out in hip hop these days with 'When It's Dark Out' and 'The Incredible True Story'.  On top of that they're joined by YG and Yo Gotti, and have some incredible talents joining them for select dates.  Madeintyo, Kamaiyah, Kodak Black and P. Reign each have a handful of shows each.  Yet for those of us in Toronto, along with a few other cities there's a mystery artist on board that was not announced initially, but check the tour trailer below for more info on that.

July 24th they're performing at Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, and it will get here before you know it, so get your tickets and check out some of brilliant music from G-Eazy, Logic, YG, Yo Gotti, Madeintyo, Kamaiyah, Kodak Black and P. Reign.  This tour is led by two of the most exciting artists in hip hop, and they're bringing some incredible, unbelievably talented artists along with them.  While we really aren't sure what to expect from this tour, its safe to say it's going to be unforgettable...

PREVIEW: Outer Spaces at the Smiling Buddha June 29th

Baltimore's Outer Spaces began as the solo project of Cara Beth Satalino, and has since evolved into a brilliant trio.  The new record is entitled 'A Shedding Snake', and it's a journey along with Outer Spaces into their brilliant indie pop mastery.  The video for 'I Saw You' was our introduction to the record, and a fitting one as it's the opening track.  It was followed by a clip for 'Born Enemy' the same day as the album's release.  'A Shedding Snake' is evocative of change, of growth, of evolving with the times.

Before long Outer Spaces will be performing at the Smiling Buddha in Toronto.  June 29th sees their tour in support of 'A Shedding Snake' stopping in Toronto, the first appearance in the city for the band is simply too good to miss.
