Preview: A.Chal at the Drake 8/22

A.Chal released his unbelievable debut 'Welcome To Gazi' back in June.  This weekend marks the beginning of another new phase of his career.  This music is coming for audiences in New York, Toronto and Los Angeles.  The shows begin on Sunday August 21st at Baby's All Right, and the career of this one of a kind will take on a bold new aspect.  The Toronto show goes down at the Drake Hotel on August 22nd followed by Los Angeles on August 24th.  The video for 'Round Whippin' was just released, and he also just appeared on 'Out At Night' by Stwo.  This is your chance to catch an amazing artist on the rise.  RSVP at www.gazi.world

Preview: Top 5 TIME Festival Artists

Toronto's one and only Time Festival is only one week away.  This event has brought so much talent to the city over the years including Soulwax, Diplo, Grimes, Mac DeMarco, and Die Antwoord.  This years lineup is equally amazing, but it's also doubled in size.  This is the first year of the event taking over two stages at Fort York.  The Over Time stage will host the variety of electronic musicians and dj's throughout the day including a few picks from our top 5 artists.  Get your tickets and listen to some favourites!

Electric Island: Civic Holiday August 1st

Each edition of the Electric Island lineup somehow outdoes the one before it.  This time around the team behind one of Toronto's biggest parties brings you Paul Kalkbrenner, Guy Gerber, and Gui Boratto.  Three legends in their own right, and on top of that they're joined by Andhim and Nitin.  Two cutting edge acts with irreverent styles of their own.  Check out some of our favourite mixes from this lineup below, and get your tickets!


PREVIEW: Ta-Ku's '(M)edian' tour hits Toronto 10/4

Ta-Ku's upcoming EP '(M)edian' EP in Collaboration with Wafia is out August 5th.  Just this morning the announcement was made for the North American tour in support of this brilliant new music.  That includes a Toronto stop on October 4th at the legendary Opera House.  This will mark their first North American shows since their MoMA PS1 show in New York.  The tour begins in Los Angeles on September 21, watch the trailer below and listen to the single 'Meet In The Middle'.


Preview: Senseless at Evergreen Brick Works July 9th

Senseless brings you a party that simply does bear comparison to any other.  The immersive music experience takes place at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto and brings artist of all kinds together to create a space that will awaken the senses.  T.E.E.D., Tube & Berger, and Rodriguez Jr. headline the musical aspect with brilliant support like Nature of Music and Nitin.  Visual artists like curator Amal Peerzada, Simon Falk, Carson Teal, and Sofia EscobarSubpac, the company behind a variety of tactile bass enhancing devices brings another phyiscal dimension to the music.  Aroma Tech systems will be installed on site and food from Chef Joe Friday's Via Vai, Leaf & Bone, Super Juice, Calii Love and more.
