New Music from Mounties! "Flags of Convenience"

The almighty Canadian super group The Mounties is back with more glorious sonic rock and roll that means something. Hawksley Workman, Steve Bays (of Hot Hot Heat) and Ryan Dahle (of Limblifter and Age of Electric) gave us that feeling that only magnificent art can with this one. "Flags of Convenience" is not a radio hit, but it's so damn good it'll likely make it there anyways. This tune is a bit more experimental than some of their last stuff, but we love it so, so much. We are huge Limblifter fans (and any other Ryan Dahle project for that matter), so we were delighted to see this awesome lo fi recording of them playing the classic tune 'Tinfoil' at the National Post offices. Enjoy!

Limblifter "Dopamine"

A favorite band of ours growing up, Vancouver's Limblifter made a bunch of great songs and then part ways, making music in great bands like Age of Electric and more recently The Mounties.  They sound amazing together still, and not only have a new album on the way, but have a bunch of Canadian tourdates as well!

Must see at CMW: Limblifter at Horseshoe Tavern, Friday March 22, 2013

It's always awesome to see one of your favorite bands growing up come back and stay at it.  We have been fans of Limblifter since we got a bunch of their stickers in the mail because of our Much Axs Card.  Remember those?  Anyways, before Age of Electric, there was Limblifter, and they made some seriously great tunes.  Get excited to go see them once again. Here's all the info and some music for ya.
