DJ Format & Abdominal - Dirt (Official Video)

We know this isn't brand new, but we also insist that the goodness has no expiry date, and that DJ Format and Abdominal are classic makers of the highest order and for us everything they do will always sound innovative and fresh.

'Dirt' is just one of those funky, smart bangers that somehow explains precisely how we feel about things and does it in a manner that is so incredibly on point we almost can't believe our ears. You need to listen to this:

August Greene (Robert Glasper x Common x Karriem Riggins) - Optimistic (feat. Brandy)

Wow. What a team, what a tune. We could barely believe our ears when we heard this one.  Common, Karriem Riggins, Robert Glasper and Brandy! This production is exception, the vocals are out of this world, and the raps are absolutely razor sharp.

This is an absolute instant classic, we are gonna love this forever.

Clyde Guevara's new album #FreeJAH

Clyde Guevara's debut album #FreeJAH is here, and the world is not ready.  Guevara comes from Red Hook Brooklyn, and he's now based in Los Angeles.  The move followed the death of his brother Jah, just months after his release from prison.  The music is clearly impacted by this, and you can hear what might be the effects of a new setting in some songs where it sounds like a weight has been lifted off of Clyde's shoulders.  We shared the track 'Still Illin' earlier this month, and still can't get enough.  This is THE new hip hop record you need to hear.
