Jamie Lidell mini documentary presented by AUX TV

One of our favorite supermusicians of the last decade (and then some), Jamie Lidell has been featured by Canadian music TV station AUX TV in a nice little mini documentary.  If you follow Jamie's music at all you are well aware of the divide between each album he has made.  They are all incredible, but they are all very different.  We were psyched to hear him explain that a bit, amongst other things.  Enjoy:

12 years of DFA narrated by Marc Maron

Redbull Music brings you a brilliant documentary on the story of DFA Records.  The home to LCD Soundsystem, the Juan McLean, and so many other talented artists is too old to be new and too new to be classic.  To make it even better, the story is narrated by Marc Maron.

Frank Turner - The Way I Tend To Be (Documentary)

This is a very cool, yet brief, look at the journey and life of Frank Turner.  Frank Turner is an extremely cool and talented English hardcore turned indie-folk musician who has made it big, but stays the same humble and inspirational dude.  Enjoy.

Noisey presents: "Light Up Gold Road Trip" a tour documentary on Parquet Courts

This is a very cool little documentary directed by Andy Capper about Brooklyn band (originally from Texas) and a trip following them from Mexico to Austin to England.  Even if you haven't heard of these guys yet, give this a watch and get ready to see them all over the place.  Plus there are some pretty interesting segments where they take acid and peyote (not at the same time), and enjoy meeting lots of different people and findin themselves in new situations.  The director Andy Capper had this to say:

“When Sean Yeaton quit his job to leave behind the safety of his desk for the wild life of a performing minstrel, I decided to get a camera and follow him on the first three weeks of his new life. We went from Mexico to Texas and London in a very short period of time. I love Sean and his band—Austin, Andrew and Max—and I hope that this is reflected in this short film that we made together.”
