The O'My's ft. Chance The Rapper: 'Idea'

'Idea' is the new single and video from the Chicago soul group the O'My's.  They're joined in collaboration by the hometown legend Chance the Rapper, and it's a truly compelling track.  The video is shot in black and white, set on a rainy night in Chicago where the duo of Maceo Haymes and Nick Hennessey perform the song in an alley only to be joined by Chance for the finale.  'Idea' is directed by Jason Peterson and comes from the album Tomorrow.  It's out now, and you can get it here.  Make sure you check out 'Idea' below.

VIDEO: Jamila Woods 'LSD' ft. Chance The Rapper

Jamila Woods' incredible album HEAVN has been re-released on Jagjaguwar and Closed Sessions.  The video for 'LSD' from the album has just been released, and it's an incredible project.  Woods and Chance the Rapper trade verses in a video shot in Chicago by aspiring filmmakers from Chicago Public Schools.  Woods, Chance, and VAM Studios' Vincent Martell and Sam Bailey conceptualized the video to include contributions from students, each submitting treatments for the video.  The winner, Ashley Huicochea was invited to shadow directors Martell & Bailey on set, with the runners up shadowing different departments of the production.

Watch the video, and the documentary on the production below.  Get HEAVN here!

Chance The Rapper 'Same Drugs'

Jake Schreier's video for 'Same Drugs' beautifully captures the emotional power of this track from Chance the Rapper's 'Colouring Book'.  The track describes the growing distance between two people who were once close, based on their current vices of choice.  Schreier's video shows Chance performing a duet at the piano, and then leaving the studio.  As we see that each of the other characters involved is a puppet, you naturally sense the difference and the distance between Chance and everyone else.  In that shot of him walking by the windows of the control room, you can feel that sadness, that lonliness...

Same Drugs from the Grammy Nominated Coloring Book, featuring vocals from Chance The Rapper, Eryn Allen Kane, Yebba, John Legend, Francis Starlite and Macie Stewart.
