Must see at CMW: Shout Out Out Out Out at Horseshoe Tavern, Sat. March 23/13

This band of electronic monsters is back in Toronto again for CMW, and though advance tickets might be sold out, we still have to try.  They are playing with Toronto's own Badbadnotgood, which kind of makes this one of the craziest shows of this whole festival.  Get to know some of their tunes below and get ready to go wait in line.

RBMA mini doc on the current state of R&B

Before seeing this, we had never heard the term "PRR & B", and we definitely think whoever came up with that should probably kick themselves in the head.  That being said, there is definitely some interesting wisdom here from some of our favorite producers like Jeremy Rose (Zodiac) and How To Dress Well, as well as Miguel, Badbadnotgood and a couple others.  Check it out!

BadBadNotGood are students of Humber's Jazz program in Toronto.  They create music somewhere between jazz and hip hop, and combine the two in a way that has been known to convert fans of one to the other genre.  They've worked with artists like Tyler the Creator and Frank Ocean.  Matt Tavares, Alex Sowinski and Chester Hansen make incredible music, and it's a real privilege to get to see a show like this so early in their career.
