Finally!  Not only is Aesop Rock back with a massively awesome new LP, "Skelethon" but the man himself is returning to Toronto! Of course that's not all, he's bringing the magnificent Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz.  Yes yes.

Skelethon is a masterpiece.  It is also Aesop Rock's first album on Rhymesayers Entertainment.  He also produced the whole thing, which is amazing.  But hey, we've been listening to Aesop Rock since high school ( and we old), and we are crazy excited to see him live again.  So this week, we're gonna post lotsa Aesop Rock stuff for you to help get excited, and if you're new to his music, no worries it will be a good start.

Aesop Rock

There is a lot of really great hip hop coming out lately.  Truth be told hip hop has never lost momentum, it is simply a music where the really great stuff doesn't always rise to the top.  The beauty of hip hop is sometimes you have to look for it, whether it be online, or digging through crates of records. Say what you want on the state of hip hop, with new records this year from the likes of El P and Aesop Rock among many others, we think we're gonna be ok.
