Classic of the day: Aceyalone - Ms. Amerikkka
Friday, May 10, 2013 at 8:58PM
Aceyalone's track 'Ms. Amerikkka' was originally released in the summer of 2000. It was a part of the first volume of the Unbound Project, dedicated to righting the wrongful imprisonment of Mumia Abu-Jamal. All of the artists' royalties were donated to a legal defense fun. The album featured a variety of artists from the rich west coast underground scene. The song was produced by Joey Chavez and featured DJ J Rocc.
In 2003 it was rereleased as the last track on Aceyalone's solo album 'Love and Hate'. It is a poignant, honest reflection and still as valid today as when it was first recorded. It is a true testament to the musical gifts Aceyalone possesses.
